The idea is to foment new uses and irradiate more appropiation from the users of the zone, at daytime as much as at night.
The design includes a “diluted” metalic continuous facade, a visual ax towards the park from all the appartments, and includes housing typologies with crossed ventilation and north light. |

The project is inserted in the new repopulating policies for the San José city center. Barrio Amón is considered as one of the main historical sites of the center. Thus, it is projected a mixed use building that includes housing, commerce on the lower level, parking on the basement, hotel spa, restaurant and a green area that fuses with the Simón Bolívar Zoo.
The building is the focal point from a street that will be of restricted use for vehicles, and that will allow pedestrians to view the park before getting to the building.
The project is planned as a detonator on Barrio Amón area, which is currently one of the main focus of prostitution in the country. Integration with context generating light, pedestrian circulation on the zone, and restaurants that allow the use of public space such as a new square proposed on the southeast area of the project, are designed. |
